JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will assist students with special needs during virtual speech/language therapy sessions, support classroom instruction, and provide administrative or logistical help to ensure the smooth delivery of special education services.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in technology (e.g., navigating video conferencing tools, basic troubleshooting).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and supervise virtual teletherapy sessions between students and speech-language pathologists
- Assist students with logging into online platforms and troubleshooting basic technology issues.
- Ensure a safe, productive, and focused environment during teletherapy sessions.
- Support students in accessing the general education curriculum by providing academic or behavioral assistance during instruction.
- Help implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in students’ IEPs.
- Provide individualized or small group support to students during instructional time or independent work.
- Follow all district policies and maintain confidentiality of student information.
- This temporary, part-time position has flexible scheduling based on school and student needs. The hours are up to 25 hours per week through the end of the school year.
- Depending on demand, you may be assigned to different locations or students throughout the district (elementary and/or secondary).
